50 Years Celebrated in Style by Harrison Thompson & Co. Ltd.
The 24th November 2016 sees the 50th anniversary of the forming of Leeds based company Harrison Thompson & Co. Ltd.
To celebrate this golden milestone, Directors organised an evening ball for all staff and their partners held at the 4* Metropole Hotel in Leeds city centre on the 11th November.
“The event was organised as a thank you to our committed and hardworking team who have all played a part in the success of Harrison Thompson achieving 50 Years of successful trading within the construction industry.” Explained Director, Phil Christopher.
Colleagues on the night were greeted with a celebratory glass of bubbly on arrival followed by a 3 course meal and entertained by local band Afterglow. A raffle was drawn during dinner resulting in 5 lucky cash prize winners.
Pictured arriving is Harrison Thompson’s Chairman, Peter Brumwell and his wife Barbara. Mr Brumwell, along with partners, was the founder of the company back in 1966 which has over the 50 years continued to grow reaching annual turnovers in the region of £7 million pounds and currently employing 70 staff.
Starting out as installers of wall protection rails the business soon began to manufacture, supply and install its own brand - Yeoman Shield Wall and Door Protection products - which lead the way in today’s market.
Yeoman Rainguard rainwater systems were later added to the portfolio providing quality gutters and downpipes to the housing developer and selfbuild markets.
To further mark their 50th year Harrison Thompson set up a charity fund which has already this year, provided sponsorship to members of staff who have undertaken such challenges as the Velindre Invincible 10K challenge, race for life and the Leeds half marathon – All for worthy causes.
Materials and services have also been donated to charitable organisations such as Wheatfields Hospice in Leeds.
Business wise, celebrations will continue into the New Year with a new brochure, 3 new products and colours being launched for Yeoman Shield whilst Yeoman Rainguard have recently gone live with a new mobile friendly website.
