Problem Solving Yeoman Shield Has All The Answers
Forty year's experience in the field of wall and door protection has provided Yeoman Shield with an immense wealth of knowledge and the experience and ability to provide bespoke solutions for projects that present awkward or non-standard elements, such as curved walls, circular pillars and glass walls.
Yeoman Shield, sales director, Stuart Russell explained: "We have long been established as a market leader in the supply and installation of wall and door protection and our products are used by many hospitals, schools, offices, retail outlets, airports and pharmaceutical plants. However, we are now finding that, due to our years of experience and friendly approach, customers are increasingly turning to us for specific advice on unusual or tricky projects."

Glasgow Royal Infirmary tapped into Yeoman Shield’s experience in the field of wall protection when it required protection for floor to ceiling glass partitioning walls. A multi purpose protection system was required that would protect the glass from being damaged by wheeled hospital equipment and pedestrian traffic whilst also acting as a handrail to assist infirm or elderly patients and visitors. Yeoman Shield came up with an ideal solution in the form of 125mm Combined Handrail/Protection Rail which was fitted at mid height to the vertical metal framework and butted up to the corners.

Yeoman Shield also answered a call from mobile telecommunications provider, Vodafone, to provide a suitable protection system for interior concrete columns at the company’s Head Office. Specially 'formed' Wall Protection Panels were fitted to the circular columns in the office, canteen and reception areas, which are all subject to high congestion. The panels were supplied in an assortment of contemporary colours, enhancing the modern interior design and vibrant employee friendly environment. Being supplied with a textured finish, the appearance of scratches and abrasions caused by chair backs, the ongoing flow of employees and movement of mail and cleaning trolleys, are minimised.
Bags, suitcases, trolleys and passengers all add up to a high risk of damage to the internal fabric of airports, so when Leeds Bradford Airport refurbished areas of the ground and first floor, it was imperative that internal columns in the busy arrivals hall were protected with a robust system to combat any unsightly damage.

Yeoman Shield also overcame the added complication of providing an effective system that could be applied to oval shaped columns. Duo-Fenders and Mini Duo-Fenders from the company’s heavy duty range were fixed at low and mid level to colour co-ordinate with the interior décor
Yeoman Shield's expertise was put to the test recently when the company was given the task of providing protection for curved walls at the new £10m Airedale Centre for Mental Health. The solution came in the form of 200mm Protection Strip, the nature of which allowed it to follow the curves of the walls. Although this was an unusual application, the entire job was completed, from the original quotation to the final installation, within just one month.
A leading high street retailer and a well known supermarket chain have installed resilient Yeoman Shield 2.0mm thick FalmouthEx Wall Protection Panels to prevent damage around cash desks, seating and serving areas in newly refurbished on-site restaurants and cafeterias.
The burgundy wall panels, supplied with a stippled finish, were fitted from floor to ceiling to prevent damage at any height and conceal impact abrasions from a high flow of traffic.
