Company expands premises to ensure first class service

With business ever increasing (turnover was in excess of £7m last year), Leeds-based Harrison Thompson, the UK's leading supplier of wall and door protection systems, has invested in a new state of the art workshop whilst simultaneously improving its warehousing facility.
Founded over 40 years ago, the company has evolved, developed and become firmly established on its South Leeds site with its 64 employees. Yeoman Shield (the wall and door protection side of the business) lists an impressive range of blue chip customers, including many of the UK's leading supermarkets, hospitals, Royal Mail sorting offices and airports. The company's Yeoman Rainguard division is a leading supplier of high quality rainwater systems for new build, self build and restoration projects.
"A growing volume of business meant that our existing workshop had reached capacity and was coming under increasing pressure," explained Ray Saperia, Managing Director. "We took the decision to make the six figure investment and build a new workshop which doubles the size of the old one and has allowed us the floor space to house new machinery, including a digital moving table saw and CNC Router for cutting material into shapes."
He added: "At the same time, we have massively increased our warehousing facilities and now store in excess of half a million pounds worth of stock and are able to meet next day delivery on our most popular items. Response is essential in meeting the expectancy of our supermarket customers, and others of course.
"In the current challenging economic climate, it is of paramount importance we stay ahead of the game. We have never been in a better position to meet our motto of 'Making Business a Pleasure'. Satisfied customers and our loyal employees' job satisfaction is a winning combination."
