Yeoman shield produce eye catching solution

When Darlington Memorial Hospital was looking for a way to prevent wall damage and also guide visually impaired patients in the hospital's ophthalmic department, Yeoman Shield, the UK's leading manufacturer of architectural surface protection, came up with an eye catching solution.
Yeoman Shield manufactured and supplied its own Guardian Handrails complete with bold, clear, directional signage incorporated into the rail. This resulted in Yeoman Shield being able to provide the hospital with a multi functional product comprising of support services for visually-impaired patients, a rounded grip handrail for the elderly and less agile, and a wall protection rail to prevent impact damage to the interior décor.

Yeoman Shield Area Representative, Steve Hawke, said: "Wherever possible we always try to meet customer requests. Producing a bespoke rail in a bright yellow colour and indenting the signage onto the rail, rather than just painting it on, met all the requirements."
Paul Saunders, Clerk of Works at Darlington Memorial Hospital, said: "By installing Yeoman Shield Guardian Handrail we have prevented damage to internal décor from passing traffic which, in turn, eliminates the need for inconvenient and expensive repair work."
