Wall Panelling Could Be the Architect's Choice
In a modern age of austerity, architects and interior building designers could do well to consider alternative methods of combining utilitarian functions with decoration and design such as wall panelling.
A method that architects may want to consider, the use of specialised wall panelling could bring enormous benefits to many building projects, both large and small and in industrial, office or even domestic situations. Wall panelling has several benefits, not least the speed at which it can be put in place when compared other traditional wall coverings, such as painting.
Wall panelling v paint
Paint is of course a versatile product in terms of colour and texture. However, paint requires walls to be prepared to a specified standard, it requires undercoats and second coats and most obviously, paint requires time to dry. With wall panelling, all of these obstacles can be overcome. Wall panelling simply needs time spent to work out the amount and type of wall panelling required before it can be made and delivered to order.
What is also a highly important benefit of wall panelling is the ability for it to be decorated with imagery, colour and pattern. This means that if wall panelling is chosen in preference to traditional paints, the advantages of paint are not necessarily lost. Wall panelling can be used to display delightful scenes of beaches or coastline for example, or it can be used simply to reinforce a business brand by displaying the company logo and marketing texts, or a combination of all these things.
With the additional cost that traditional wall coverings incur overtime when they have to be updated on a regular basis, wall panelling can also be seen as a sound investment that will protect walls from bumps and scrapes whilst at the same time provide a quality look in an efficient and cost effective manner.
